1. Your Music Files: Please make sure that all songs are properly labelled with artist and song name.
2. Your Cover Artwork: The stores are very strict about artwork. Your cover art MUST be 1400×1400 at 300 dpi and include your artist name on it. If you need help with your cover art, or would like for Distrophonix to design it for you click here to learn about the graphic design services we offer.
3. A Barcode: The stores require each release to have a barcode (UPC) number for tracking. If you don’t already have one, you can either purchase one from someone else, or you can buy a barcode from us for just $15. If you are releasing a series of singles each song will need its own barcode. If you are releasing an album with multiple songs, you only need one barcode for the whole album.

1. Is Your Song Mastered? You are about to release your song in 400+ stores worldwide. You want to make sure that your song sounds the best it can. It is not required, but highly recommended that you have your song mastered before you release it in stores. We offer some of the best deals on mastering around! 2. Have You Considered Using Download Cards To Market Your Music? Some of the most successful musicians we work with have built a large portion of their fan base by handing out free download cards.

   Here is how this marketing angle works. Print up some download cards featuring one or two songs off your upcoming release. On the cards make sure to write that the full album is available on iTunes & 400+ other stores. Then hit the streets, area shows, local malls, etc. and hand the cards out for free to those who enjoy your style of music. The person who gets the card will love it because they get a chance to check out a great artist and they get some free music. You will love it because your fans base will grow and if all goes well, you will see a rise in your online sales as people purchase the full album.
