Here at Distrophonix, we know that the CD pressing process can often times seem overwhelming and confusing, so we have provided a guide designed to help you navigate the CD Pressing process and provide you with information about how our CD Pressing process works. Time frame:
The typical order takes 10-14 days for processing and delivery. Short run orders take 8-10 days; rush orders are available for an additional fee. Please keep in mind that the time frame starts from the point that we have all of the materials needed and payment.
As a general rule, no matter who you do your CD Pressing with, make sure that you have an actual date from the manufacturer for when the CD’s will arrive before booking any CD release shows.
What We Need From You
STEP 1 Send Us Your Artwork:
Please send all files to us on templates in any of the following formats: TIFF, EPS, PSD and JPG at 300 dpi. If sending Photoshop files, they need to be in the CMYK format. RGB format is not acceptable. We will not convert any RGB files due to the fact that the image and color may come out differently.
Use Pantone Color Matching System for all spot colors. Something to keep in mind: If Pantone colors are converted to CMYK, the color may not appear as it would have as a Pantone color. Some Pantone colors do NOT convert well.

You may submit your artwork files via file transfer/upload or on CD-R. If you are submitting by online transfer, please upload the artwork to this drop box as one zip file.
If you have submitted via the drop box, please send an email to CDPressing@Distrophonix.com, informing us of your submission along with the name of the file you uploaded.
STEP 2 Send Us A Copy of the Audio on CD-R:
Please make sure that your audio master on CD-R sounds exactly the way you want before sending the master to us. Your finished CD’s will be an exact match of the master you send. It is for this reason that we only accept physical CD masters. Please do not send us any electronic files. We cannot guarantee the quality of electronic files.
We highly recommend that your music is professionally mastered; mastering is a key process in getting the best sounding CD possible. STEP 3 Send Us Your Order Form and RRA:
Under the CD Pressing section of our website you will see an “Order Now” button next to each package. When you click on that button, you will get a copy of the submission forms. Please make sure that all forms are filled out, including the Replication Rights Agreement.
When sending us your mailing address, please do not use a P.O. Box. Because we ship via FEDEX/UPS, we can’t deliver to post office boxes. Please only use a physical address that can accept deliveries.

Also, you may email completed forms to CDPressing@Distrophonix.com or upload to our drop box. If you submit your form using the drop box, please send an email to CDPressing@Distrophonix.com informing us you have done so.
STEP 4 Send Us Your Payment:
When you are ready, you can pay us via check/money order, credit/debit card, or PayPal. Please visit this page to make your payment: Payments
So You Have Sent Us Everything We Need. What Happens Now?
We will stay in touch with you throughout the entire CD Pressing process. Here is how it will work.
1. Once we have everything, we will send you a confirmation email.
2. Our next step is we make a proof of exactly how the CD will look. We will send you a copy of this as an email attachment. Please look this over carefully. This is the last chance to catch any possible issues such as misspelled words or any other corrections that you would like to make before pressing. Please let us know if any changes need to be made as soon as possible. If no changes are required, please respond back to the email giving us approval to continue with the process.
3. Once the CD’s are done and ready for shipment we will send you a tracking number. The CD’s will ship using either FEDEX or UPS.
4. Once you have received the CD’s, we will follow up with you just to make sure you are 100% happy with everything.
